The Daily Echo: Are your Car Mirror’s Adjusted Correctly? September 9, 2016

Over the past 23 years I have treated patients on a regular basis injured in auto accidents. A common accident that happens thousands of times a day across this country is when someone changes lanes only to impact another vehicle. Depending upon speed and other factors this can be fatal in some cases. In the U.S. we hand out licenses to teenagers as young as 16 years old. Many times the basic requirements are fair at best. Most of these drivers have never been taught how to properly adjust the side mirrors. Take time to watch todays echo and share it with those you love to help ensure their safety. Most accidents never have to happen. It has been reported that over 95% of drivers in the US DO NOT HAVE their side mirrors adjusted properly.
