The Daily Echo: GENSHAI “Never treat another person in a manner that would make them feel small”, June 4, 2014

June 4, 2014

In the book Aspire I first learned the word Genshai. It’s a great story about a book Kevin Hall did not want to sign because of all the great people who had signed the book previously. He was taught a lesson that day to never treat another person in a manner that would make them feel small. This included himself. How often do we feel small around others that may have accomplished more in life. What about a time were around professional athlete or a hero or ours. Did we feel a bit small? If we feel small around certain people we are sure to feel better or bigger around others. We must love ourselves and view all people as equal. We must learn to value each person for his/her own uniqueness.
