I love listening to the wisdom of my older patients. Many many times they will counsel with great advice. I think as we approach the end of our lives we all will look back and wish we did things a bit differently. The great Benjamin Franklin said, “Experience keeps a dear school, but fools will learn in none other.” Are we going to listen to those who have gone before or do we have to live 90 – 100 years and then decide to live each day as if it were our last? Are we going to pass up all the joys in life or live in the now and enjoy even the simplest things? Just remember, “Experience keeps a dear school, but fools learn in none other.”
