Every day we work with patients to help them lose weight. Today’s Echo talks about how substituting Ice water for your regular room temperature water will help you burn up to 8 lbs a year. I recommend to my patients to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. 1 glass of Ice water burns about 9 calories more than room temperature water 25 cal vs 16 cal. So daily that is only about 72 extra calories. But the magic happen when we do this daily for 365 days. You will burn 26,280 extra calories that year. 3500 calories is equal to 1 pound of fat so you will burn almost 8 lbs.
