I remember as a young boy working with my Dad. He owned a construction company and one day at his office a salesperson came knocking. The pitch of the sale was great. I remember thinking, “wow you have to buy that, it is awesome.” My Dad declined, the salesman left and I was dumbfounded. I couldn’t understand why he wasn’t buying this great thing. When I asked him, I still remember the words he uttered. He said, “I learned a long time ago that you can’t make a good deal with a bad guy. If his word is not his bond you better walk away.” In today’s episode I talk about a lesson in life that has been with me for nearly 40 years.
