The Daily "ECHO"

The Daily Echo: “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”…. September 14, 2016

The heading of today’s echo is familiar to all who know the life of Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt. The 26th president of the country had quite the life… From sickness as a child to losing his wife and mother on the same day. Teddy had many setbacks in life. As I read quotes like, “It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.” or “If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn’t sit for a month”, and “Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell ’em, ‘Certainly I can!’ Then get busy and find out how to do it.” Teddy knew how to work. His father was key to his work ethic. As a sick child, his father would have him workout daily to strengthen and build weak muscles. As you watch today’s echo on work, don’t let your mind limit what the word “work” means.. It is not only about our job or occupation. It’s about how we tackle EVERYTHING in life… Teddy taught us years ago how to work… Evaluate your own life in this day and age of luxury and honestly grade yourself on your own work ethic. I know when I do I need to work harder..
