How often do you gather around the “water cooler” at work and the discussion about someone else begins. Most often it is negative. WHY do we think that putting another down will bring us up or make us appear better? Don’t we realize that we are only showing our real colors when we engage in gossip and negative talk about others. I love this short clip today that tells us something I believe we already know, “You will never build your happiness upon someone else’s unhappiness.” As you go through this next week take time to notice the negative remarks you and others make. Take the opportunity to apologize if you make them and if other’s are making them use that time to defend the person that is not present.
