The Daily Echo: The Upside-A Real Life Story of Service, Love, and Friendship. January 12, 2019

Every once in a while I will share a positive film, book, or quote. Last night I took my family to the new film “The Upside”. After seeing the IMDB 3.8 score I was sure I was in for a good sleep on the recliner’s at my local AMC. I was not expecting too much because of the reviews. I found the film extremely good with a profound message lacking in many of our films. The film is based upon the life of Philippe Pozzo di Borgo. Below is a small clip from his life. The act of serving another person is the primary driver for happiness in this world. The happiness of those we serve and the happiness of ourselves.

Philippe Pozzo di Borgo is a wealthy Corsican French businessman who is the Director of Pommery and was the owner of an inherited historic hotel particulier in Paris used as a function hall. He became a diabetic quadriplegic in 1993 following a paragliding accident, whose life story inspired the biographical movies The Intouchables [1] ,inseparables of Spain and the Hollywood film The Upside.[2]
